Tuition
I have over 10 years experience teaching traditional and classical music. I offer a series of online beginner classes for all ages, at affordable rates. Classes are available almost year round online and in one to one capacity. For small groups of 2-3 people, please contact me for availability.
Voice Lessons
I cater to a variety of voices and teach various styles of singing and performance – Classical, Pop, Rock, Country and Jazz. I will work with you on intonation, pitch, rhythm, confidence building and overall performance techniques. Each class is 30-40 minutes in duration (subject to space availability) and is currently online only. Classes start with vocal warmups, breath control and can cover sight reading and notation.
Beginner Fiddle
I have been teaching beginner fiddle for a number of years, having started my music career with Ceoltas Ceoltoirí Éireann. Tuition includes learning about your fiddle, instrument maintenance and you will be able to play traditional music or other genres. Classes are 35 minutes duration and are available online and in person. Please note, it is necessary for you to have your own practice instrument for these classes. Restringing and tuning can be provided where necessary.
Beginner Guitar
Learning the guitar can be a challenge. I offer basic lessons of strumming patterns, chord progressions and plucking to enable you to start your instrumental journey. Each class is 35 minutes in duration and is available online and in person. Please note, it is necessary for you to have your own practice instrument for these classes. Restringing and tuning can be provided where necessary.
Beginner Tin Whistle
The humble Tin Whistle is a wonderful instrument. I offer beginner lessons for traditional music in this instrument for all ages. Most musicians start with the Recorder or Tin Whistle, so if you are unsure what kind of instrument you wish to play, this is a great starting point! Each class is 35 minutes in duration and is online only.
