Aideen Morrin Music

A Life Steeped in Sound I am a classically trained soprano with an Honors Bachelor Degree of Music (BMus) from Maynooth University. I started performing from a young age and have perfected my own style of performance. I come from a traditional music background, having taught traditional music from 2008 to 2011 in Ceoltas Ceoltoiri Eireann. I draw classical inspiration from artists such as opera legends, Anna Netrebko and Maria Callas, as well as the more mainstream artists such as Katherine Jenkins. I have trained with renowned soprano, Sylvia O’ Brien and have been singing at public and private events since the age of 14. In 2013, I performed for President Michael D Higgins at the National Ploughing Championships. I have performed in venues around the country and at various competitions both classical and traditional from 2010 to 2016. I continue to give private tuition in voice (various genres), beginner guitar, fiddle, tin whistle and recorder. I have an extensive repertoire which can be easily and gladly extended. I use a variety of backing tracks and live instruments for weddings, events and even for tuition purposes. CDs of select tracks can be purchased at any time.
